Taunton Police Badge
This badge is often referred to as a radiator badge because it resembles the radiator on a Ford Model T. This style was adopted by the Taunton Police to replace the octagon style badge. The Boston Police adopted this style in 1879 and by the turn of the century, most Massachusetts police departments seem to have gone to this style or a variation of it. I believe Taunton adopted this badge around 1910 and discarded it in the early 1940's.
